Some chests, and then some chests… oh and some chests as well…

So it’s no secret that I’ve made a lot of chests over the last year or so but lately I seem to have taken it to a new level. I used to pretty much make the same design but lately my mind has been taken over with design after design of new and different ones I can make. So that’s what I’ve been doing and it’s been really fun! The other new thing about them is that my wife and I recently purchased a Silhouette Cameo Electronic Cutting Tool which is absolutely fantastic! It’s so fun to be able to add some life to the chests by adding a little French Bistro text or why not more of an Old West text… it’s been so fun to design these with her as well, it gives us something we can do together. So here are the latest and greatest chests I’ve made. Enjoy!

This was a fun step away from the white for a while although this took quite a bit of courage. Turned out quite nice though. Turquoise is certainly my wife’s favorite color right now.

This is also a completely different design that was really fun to do. I’ve started to love to step away from the straight lines and just create my own thing completely. This one is more of a french style with a stencil that I love that my wife and I designed together.

This was commissioned for a friend of ours who was giving it away as a gift. It was the first time we used our stencil machine so we’ve gotten a bit better at it since then. But the one who received it loved it, so that’s always nice.

Now this was a major favorite and one that everybody loved. My wife especially. It’s also been the inspiration for a piece I’m going to do in our dining room. It’s always nice to finally figure out exactly what will be brilliant in your house. This is an old west theme that was super fun to do. We also designed this stencil together and fell in love with how it turned out. I also love the stain instead of paint that has been so prevalent in everything I’ve done.

This is a similar design to the gray one I made but with a few differences, one being that this one is white and has a different stencil and no posts. Also a french style chest though that I'm really happy with.
